Window Film in Uptown and the Close-In Charlotte Neighborhoods

The center of the city is where commercial work concentrates. Uptown's bank and office towers, hotels and condo buildings fill most of our tower work, and South End's mid-rise offices and apartments along the Blue Line come close behind. NoDa and Plaza Midwood add storefronts, venues and restaurants along North Davidson Street and Central Avenue.

Around them sit the older residential neighborhoods: Dilworth, Elizabeth and Myers Park, with bungalows, foursquares and large revival-style houses under a heavy tree canopy. Film there is mostly about protecting interiors through original glass, plus medical offices near the hospital campuses in Dilworth and Elizabeth.

South and Northeast Charlotte Window Film: SouthPark, Ballantyne, University City

SouthPark is Charlotte's second office district, with mid-rises, high-end retail, hotels and condos. Ballantyne, near the state line, is a large corporate campus with surrounding neighborhoods of two-story homes. Both lean heavily commercial, with residential work in the HOA neighborhoods around them.

University City in the northeast mixes University Research Park offices, UNC Charlotte area apartments, a hospital and retail along the northern end of the Blue Line. Older research park buildings with tinted glass and new west-facing apartments make up much of the work there.

Lake Norman Window Film: Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and Mooresville

North of the city along I-77, the Lake Norman towns combine waterfront houses with growing commercial areas. Lake glare and west-facing heat are the main residential problems in Cornelius, Davidson and Mooresville. Huntersville adds Birkdale Village retail and medical offices; Davidson adds a historic Main Street and a college campus; Mooresville adds race shops and corporate campuses.

East, West and South: Matthews, Mint Hill, Pineville, Concord, Gastonia and Fort Mill

Matthews and Mint Hill to the southeast mix retail corridors and medical campuses with suburban and larger-lot homes. Pineville, at the southern edge of Mecklenburg, is heavily commercial around Carolina Place. Concord to the northeast brings Concord Mills, warehouse parks and a historic downtown. Gastonia to the west has converted textile mills, Franklin Boulevard retail and a regional hospital.

Fort Mill sits across the state line in York County, South Carolina, with new office campuses along I-77, the Baxter Village center and fast-growing subdivisions. We treat it as its own place with its own rules and context.
